How To Get Involved
League of Women Voters does voter registration at Edgewater Place.   If you need affordable rental housing, call the Marin Housing AssistLine, (415) 491-2345, to find out about eligibility, waiting lists, rental assistance and other programs.
To prepare for first-time home ownership, call the Homebuyer Assistance Center (HBAC) at (415) 491-1090. HBAC is a nonprofit organization offering free workshops and counseling.
If you would like to support planning for affordable housing, call The Marin Housing Council [(415) 258-1800, ext. 30], the Workforce Housing Consortium [(415) 454-4163] or the Commission on Aging [(415) 499-7396].
There are many ways you can help: writing letters, making calls, attending meetings, supporting programs with donations.
We can arrange live tours of, or programs about, affordable housing.
Community meetings are crucial.   Other groups working with the Marin Housing Council include the Marin Interfaith Council, the League of Women Voters, SEIU Local 949, the California Teachers Association and Marin Legal Aid.
