Lincoln Avenue Apartments, San Rafael
These independent living apartments for persons with developmental disabilities were a joint project of Therapon and EAH, with services now provided by OFI.
Twelve adults live in six two-bedroom apartments, with an on-site one-bedroom apartment for the resident manager.
The infill site is right on Lincoln Avenue, near transit and services, and has its own community room and laundry.
Area that would normally be required for parking is used for recreation and green space, since additional parking is not needed.
626 Del Ganado, Terra Linda
These independent living apartments for persons with developmental disabilities were built on land owned by Christ Presbyterian Church, between the church and the Terra Linda Recreation Center.
The 12-unit complex is built around a central courtyard and tree-shaded patio.
Services are proveded by MARC, whose real estate arm, Marin Housing for the Handicapped (MHH), developed the complex with EAH.
Even though it is on the edge of a single-family neighborhood, it is near transit and shopping, and has become an integral part of the area.
